Announcement on the results of the Council of Ministers plenary meeting on 07 February 2020
On 08 February 2020, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy released a announcement on the results of the Council of Ministers plenary meeting on 07 February 2020 at the Council of Ministers, presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen. At the meeting, the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) has adopted the Draft Law on the Establishment of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, reviewed the Draft Sub-decree on the Organization and Functioning of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation and approved 3 more power plant projects, including:
- Development project of a 265 MW coal-fired power plant in Trapeang Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey province
- A 230-kilowatt transmission line project from Oddar Meanchey province to the East Siem Reap Sub-Station
- Development project of a 700 megawatts of coal-burning power plant in Botum Sakor district, Koh Kong province.
